Cincinnati’s Tyler Davidson Fountain starts flowing every year around Opening Day. The Reds built a whole jersey around that moment.
The 2026 Reds City Connect evolves the energetic vibe of their inaugural City Connect while doubling down on what defines the franchise. Pinstripes make a comeback in a tone-on-tone style — the same shade of red on red, subtle enough to feel premium, bold enough to notice. The vest-style silhouette is a direct nod to a look the Reds haven’t worn in over two decades, with a classic “C” logo on the left chest and the jersey number sitting opposite. And a sleeve graphic features the Tyler Davidson Fountain, the iconic centrepiece of Fountain Square that defines downtown Cincinnati, flowing as it does every spring.
Tone-on-tone pinstripes on red fabric is a genuinely difficult thing to pull off. Too subtle and nobody notices. Too heavy and it looks dated. Nike found the balance. The result is a jersey that looks expensive in a way that most mass-produced athletic wear doesn’t manage.
The vest silhouette is also worth talking about. It’s not a style you see often in modern baseball and it’s going to look incredible on the field. On the rack it might look understated. On a person it’s going to hit.
